Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is the timeline for enrollment?

ThriveAP offers rolling enrollment, so participants can apply or enroll at any time! For Transition to Practice, we offer ten flexible curriculum start dates throughout the year. For Upskilling, the curriculums are completely asynchronous so you can start anytime. Both TTP and Upskilling have options to sign up and pay by credit card, making it even easier to enroll anytime. Get started today.

How would my colleagues or I pay for ThriveAP?

Many organizations purchase our curriculums for their providers or utilize CME/CE funds for payment. We offer flexible payment options for providers who wish to enroll in the Transition to Practice curriculum, including a 24-month payment plan after payment of the application fee. Self-enrollees can use any major credit card to enroll in the TTP Curriculum or Upskilling courses.

How can ThriveAP help with consistent staff turnover issues?

ThriveAP’s programming has been proven to improve patient access to care, productivity and, most importantly, provider satisfaction. We do this by providing workforce development for NPs and PAs focused on efficiencies, billing, and the overarching quality of healthcare delivery.

This emphasis on every facet of the provider experience is a key part of what makes ThriveAP’s programming comprehensive and effective. With ThriveAP, employers have been able to reduce staff turnover.

How is ThriveAP different from the existing CME/CE credit stipends currently offered by many healthcare employers?

ThriveAP’s programming incorporates several key differentiators:

  • A-la-carte offerings: Unlike a “one sized” product, ThriveAP’s are a-la-carte and can be enrolled in as necessary. Other stipends also do not typically include recorded lectures as a dedicated curriculum as ThriveAP’s does.
  • Success management: ThriveAP has a dedicated team to support client success, inclusive of regular reporting, dedicated business reviews and a mutual accountability to drive results. This concierge service is not commonly found amongst industry standard offerings today.
  • Breadth of specialties and end-to-end approach: ThriveAP’s programming is designed to support the comprehensive education of APPs and providers. Other training courses of the like do not include as a wide breadth of specialties, pharmacology or the added benefit of professional development support (networking, alumni connections etc.)
  • Full workforce: While other comparable CME/CE opportunities are typically designed solely for NPs, ThriveAP extends to the full scope of APPs and with promise for additional healthcare providers longer-term.
  • Long-term focus: Existing training offerings are commonly CE and test prep focused, not performance improvement focused. ThriveAP believes in full scale, longer-term tracking for performance improvements over a career, not just a singular milestone.

Upskilling

What is the difference between the ThriveAP Upskilling Curriculum and the traditional Transition to Practice Curriculum?

No. ThriveAP’s Upskilling Curriculums are built to enhance clinical skills for both new and experienced NPs and PAs through in-depth, specialty-specific content. While seasoned APPs use them to sharpen expertise, newer clinicians may benefit when no formal Transition to Practice (TTP) program exists in their specialty. However, if a TTP program is available, we strongly recommend new grads start there to receive the comprehensive training and support essential to launching their practice.

What happens when a participant gets access to the Upskilling Curriculum?

The participant will receive a link to take a self-assessment. Participants will then receive a link and login information to access the pre-recorded videos in the specialty curriculum curriculum. They can access the courses anytime from anywhere, but they must view them in sequential order. To complete the curriculum, participants will take a final self-assessment after completing all required course content.

Are the Upskilling Curriculums only for seasoned NPs and PAs?

No. ThriveAP’s Upskilling Curriculums are built to enhance clinical skills for both new and experienced NPs and PAs with in-depth, specialty-specific content. While seasoned APPs use them to sharpen expertise, newer clinicians may benefit when no formal Transition to Practice (TTP) program exists in their specialty. However, if a TTP program is available, we strongly recommend new grads start there for the comprehensive training and support essential to launching their practice.

Do providers earn any CME/CE with the Upskilling Curriculum?

Yes, the providers will receive 10-15 hours of CME/CE upon completion of the upskilling curriculum. The number of hours CME/CE earned is dependent on the curriculum completed.

Do you offer professional development in the Upskilling Curriculums?

Yes, we offer an Upskilling Curriculum focused solely on Professional Development. Please note that the clinically focused Upskilling Curriculums do not include professional development within their curriculum, but instead focus on targeted, high-yield specialty-specific clinical skills.

How long does it take to complete the Upskilling Curriculum?

The Upskilling courses were created to be completed in 3 months instead of 12 months like our TTP curriculum. Once our Upskilling courses are launched and completely recorded, learners will have access to all the courses within the LMS and will be able to watch them consecutively. Self-paced, the learner could potentially watch the videos in fewer than 12 weeks.
