Professional Development
Professional development discussions are integrated into the final 30 minutes of weekly webinar sessions. These sessions are designed to support the ancillary but critical skills needed for clinical success, including professionalism, communication, documentation, billing and coding, and wellness/self-care.
Journal Clubs
Journal clubs are integrated into most content modules and provide participants with opportunities to review current literature in key clinical areas. These sessions are designed to build foundational skills in critical appraisal and evidence-based medicine, supporting participants as lifelong learners.
Office Hours
Rural medicine office hours provide learners with opportunities to collaborate with clinical faculty on the application of material taught in Core Rotations and Topics. These sessions emphasize practical tips, clinical pearls, and the art of delivering exceptional care in rural and resource-limited practice settings.
