F.A.Q. About Our (First Ever!) Continuing Education Conference

Hey, hey it’s Thursday! I hope your week is going fabulously and that you’ve got some exciting weekend plans to look forward to. Today, I wanted to share some exciting news for those of you who could use a little boost to make it through the rest of the week – we’re having a ThriveAP continuing education conference in Nashville! Yes, if you haven’t heard, we’ve got some great programming in store and can’t wait to meet you all in TN this March.

So, what’s our “What’s Up With Primary Care Emergencies?!” conference all about? Here are a few F.A.Q. to answer questions you have about the event.

What will I learn at the conference?

We’re glad you asked! The theme of this first conference in our “What’s Up?!” series is Emergencies in Primary Care. We’ll cover urgent and emergent diagnoses that NPs and PAs can expect to encounter in the outpatient setting. From sessions like Deadly Drug Combinations and EKG Changes PCPs Can’t Miss to Urgencies in Rheumatology: Clearing Up the Confusion, attendees will walk away with a well rounded knowledge of primary care red flags.

Why Nashville?

As TN residents, we’re probably partial to the conference destination, but Nashville is quite a hot spot these days. The conference will be held at the Hilton Downtown Nashville within walking distance of Broadway, the city’s live music scene. Experience country music at its greatest with live bands on every floor of nearby bars. Or, check out the renowned Bluebird Cafe where famous songwriters perform nightly. If music’s not your thing, check out Nashville’s booming restaurant scene – you’ll definitely want to come conferencing with an appetite!

Who is invited to attend?

Everyone! Okay, we do welcome whoever is interested at ThriveAP’s inaugural continuing education event, but the conference is best positioned to be valuable for nurse practitioners and physician assistants working in the primary care, walk-in or urgent care setting. NP and PA students as well as aspiring providers will also benefit from this continuing education experience. The conference is approved for 12 contact hours (4 pharmacology hours) with the AANP.

When is the event?

March 8th-9th, 2018. Be there.

How much does the conference cost?

Register between now and February 5th to attend What’s Up With Primary Care Emergencies?! for just $150. Yes, that’s right, just $150 for two jam-packed days of continuing education using coupon code NPWHATSUP at checkout
