Lilly Zenor
Assistant Director of Education
Lilly Zenor is a clinically practicing critical care PA with a passion for APP education and mentorship. She completed her undergraduate studies in physiology at the University of Iowa and a Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from the University of Iowa’s Carver College of Medicine in 2014.
Lilly has practiced clinically in critical care for the past ten years. She has had the opportunity to work across many critical care subspecialities including medical, surgical/trauma, neuro, cardiac surgery and medical cardiology, as well as specialized critical care resuscitation and ECMO teams. She holds ATLS and ENLS certifications and has completed advanced training as an ECMO provider through ELSO. She currently works in trauma and surgical critical care in the DC metro area.
Lilly has served as a clinical preceptor for PA and NP students and guest faculty at several PA and acute care NP programs across the country. She has a passion for early career development and previously served as the Director of the Trauma and Critical Care Advanced Practice Residency Program at The George Washington University Hospital, where she oversaw the training and development of new graduate APPs through twelve months of specialized didactic and clinical education. She has a special interest in simulation education, communication, and human factors as they relate to team performance in medicine. She has helped to develop several procedure and simulation based critical care courses and has presented on clinical team dynamics and provider wellbeing at regional and national conferences. Lilly has served on the CHEST scientific program committee, the AAPA House of Delegates, and as a board member of her state PA organization. She joined the ThriveAP team as the Assistant Director of Education in 2024 to continue her passion for supporting APPs in their transition to practice and beyond.
